Refund Policy

Domain names work differently from most products. Here's exactly when we can refund you, and when we can't.

Version1.0
Effective DateMay 6, 2026
Last UpdatedMay 6, 2026
Applies tojust-domain-name.com and all Just Domain services

Plain-English Summary

Domain names work differently from most products. The moment a domain is registered, transferred, or renewed, the underlying fees are paid to the accredited registrar, the registry, and ICANN — and they are not refundable to us. For that reason:

  • Domain registrations, transfers, and renewals are final and non-refundable once they are successfully completed, including in the case of typos, change of mind, or failure to use the domain.
  • We can issue refunds for: failed registrations that never completed, clear billing errors, duplicate charges, services not yet rendered, or where we are required to issue a refund under applicable consumer protection law.
  • By placing an order, you ask us to begin performing immediately, and you acknowledge that once the domain is registered you lose any right to withdraw or cancel for a refund, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

1.Scope

This Refund Policy describes the conditions under which Just (operating as Just Domain, "we," "us," or "our") issues refunds for purchases made through https://just-domain-name.com (the "Site") and the related domain registration and management services (the "Services").

By purchasing any Service, you agree to this Refund Policy, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy. This Policy supplements, and does not replace, any rights you may have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.

2.General Rule for Domain Names

Just is a domain reseller. When you purchase a domain registration, transfer, or renewal, we forward the registration request — and the underlying fees — to an accredited registrar, the relevant registry, and ICANN. These fees are paid by us at the moment your transaction is completed and are not refundable to us by the registrar, registry, or ICANN.

Accordingly, all domain name registrations, transfers, and renewals are final and non-refundable once successfully completed, including in the following situations:

  • you changed your mind;
  • you registered the wrong domain name (typo, wrong TLD, wrong spelling);
  • you no longer need the domain;
  • you did not use the domain;
  • the domain did not perform commercially or technically as you hoped;
  • a third party claims rights in the domain (such as a trademark dispute);
  • you are unable to verify your contact details and the registration is suspended by the registry as a result;
  • you breach our Terms of Service, an ICANN policy, or a registry policy.

The exceptions to this general rule are described in Sections 8–11.

3.New Domain Registrations

A new domain registration is considered successfully completed at the moment the relevant registry confirms the registration to us or to the accredited registrar handling the request. After that moment, no refund will be issued, regardless of whether you have configured the domain or used it.

If a registration request is rejected by the registry before completion (for example, because the domain became unavailable or did not pass eligibility checks for that TLD), we will refund the amount paid for that specific registration, less any non-refundable third-party fees that were already incurred.

4.Domain Transfers

Inbound domain transfers (transferring a domain to be managed through us) are non-refundable once the transfer has been initiated with the gaining registrar, even if the transfer is later rejected, cancelled by you, or the auth/EPP code is invalid. A transfer typically extends the registration term by one year, and that extension is paid for at initiation.

If a transfer fails for reasons attributable solely to us, we will work with you to retry the transfer or, at our discretion, issue a refund.

5.Domain Renewals and Auto-Renewal

5.1 Manual Renewals

Renewals are non-refundable once successfully completed.

5.2 Auto-Renewal

Domains may be set to auto-renew. If auto-renewal is enabled, we will attempt to renew your domain before its expiration date and charge the payment method on file. You are responsible for disabling auto-renewal in your account before the renewal attempt if you do not wish the domain to be renewed.

We will send a reminder before the auto-renewal date to the email address on file, but we are not liable if the reminder is not received (for example, due to spam filters, an outdated email address, or technical issues outside our control).

5.3 Limited Auto-Renewal Refund Window

As a courtesy, you may request a refund for an auto-renewal if all of the following conditions are met:

  • the request is submitted within 5 days of the auto-renewal charge;
  • the domain has not been used since the auto-renewal (no DNS changes, transfers, or other actions);
  • the domain is eligible for deletion under the registry's grace-period rules; and
  • the refund is permitted by the upstream accredited registrar and the registry.

We may decline a courtesy refund if any of these conditions are not met.

6.Premium and Specialty Domains

Premium domains, aftermarket domains, brokered domains, and certain specialty TLDs are sold under different commercial terms. These are always non-refundable, including in cases where new-registration courtesy refunds would otherwise apply, because the underlying fees are non-recoverable from the seller, registry, or registrar.

7.Add-on Services

Add-on services — including, without limitation, WHOIS privacy/proxy services, DNS hosting, email forwarding, SSL certificates, and any other ancillary product — are subject to the following:

  • Activated services are non-refundable once activated, except where otherwise required by law.
  • Subscription services that have not yet started may be cancelled before activation for a full refund.
  • Annual subscriptions are non-refundable on a pro-rata basis after activation, unless we explicitly state otherwise at the point of sale.
  • Third-party products(such as SSL certificates issued by certificate authorities) are subject to the issuer's refund terms in addition to this Policy.

8.Failed Registrations and Our Errors

If we fail to deliver a Service due to our error — for example, we charge you for a domain that we never actually register, or we charge you twice for the same Service — we will refund the affected amount in full upon verification.

This Section also applies if a registration is rejected by the registry before completion, as described in Section 3.

9.Express Consent and Right of Withdrawal (EU/EEA/UK Consumers)

If you are a consumer located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you are normally entitled to a 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU (as implemented locally) and equivalent UK regulations.

By placing an order for a domain registration, transfer, or renewal, you:

  • expressly request that we begin performing the Service immediately, before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period; and
  • acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed (that is, once the domain is successfully registered, transferred, or renewed).

This express consent is recorded by us at the time of purchase. Once the registration, transfer, or renewal is completed, no withdrawal right applies and no refund will be issued under this section.

For Services that are not "fully performed" within the 14-day period — for example, an annual add-on subscription that has not yet been activated — you may withdraw within 14 days of purchase by contacting support@just-domain-name.com.

10.Cancellation Rights for Israeli Consumers

If you are a consumer protected by the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, you may have a right to cancel certain remote transactions. However, the Law and its regulations exclude from the cancellation right, among other categories, services whose performance has commenced with the customer's consent and goods or services that cannot be returned in the same condition. Domain name registrations, transfers, and renewals are treated as services that have been fully performed at the moment registration completes, and are therefore not eligible for cancellation under the consumer cancellation right once completed.

For Services that have not yet been performed, eligible Israeli consumers may cancel within the periods set out in the Law by contacting support@just-domain-name.com. Statutory cancellation fees may apply.

11.Goodwill Refunds

We may, at our sole discretion and as a one-time courtesy, issue a partial or full refund outside the cases described in this Policy. A goodwill refund:

  • is not an admission of liability;
  • does not create any right or expectation to a future refund;
  • may be conditioned on closing the affected order, account, or domain.

12.How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, send an email to support@just-domain-name.com with:

  • the email address on your account;
  • the order number, invoice number, or transaction reference;
  • the domain name(s) or Service(s) concerned;
  • the reason for the refund request; and
  • any supporting information (screenshots, error messages, correspondence).

We may ask you for additional information to verify your identity or the request.

13.Refund Processing Time and Method

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Refunds are typically processed within 10 business days of approval, but the time it takes for the funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider and may take an additional 5–10 business days.

Refunds will be issued in the same currency in which the original payment was made. We are not responsible for fluctuations in exchange rates or fees charged by your bank or payment provider.

If the original payment method is no longer available (for example, an expired or closed card), we will work with you in good faith to issue the refund through an alternative method.

14.Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at support@just-domain-name.com so we can investigate and resolve the issue. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer before contacting us, or for amounts that fall under the non-refundable categories described in this Policy, may result in:

  • suspension or termination of your account and Services;
  • forfeiture of any domains or content associated with the disputed transaction (subject to ICANN and registry policies);
  • a chargeback handling fee of up to USD 25 per disputed transaction to cover processor fees and administrative costs;
  • referral of the matter to collections or legal counsel.

We reserve all rights to contest fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks with the payment processor.

15.Account Suspension, Termination, and Policy Violations

If we suspend or terminate your account, or refuse to provide a Service, because of a violation of our Terms of Service, an ICANN policy, a registry policy, applicable law, or due to fraud, abuse, or non-payment, you are not entitled to a refund for amounts already paid, including for unused portions of any subscription.

16.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to our Services, our service providers, our business practices, or applicable law. When we update the Policy, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and post the updated Policy on the site. The updated Policy takes effect immediately upon posting unless a later effective date is stated.

For non-material changes — including clarifications, corrections, formatting and structural updates, expanded explanations of existing practices, and updates required to comply with applicable law — we will not provide individual notice. The change becomes effective when posted, and you are responsible for periodically reviewing this Policy.

Where we make material changes that materially reduce your refund rights or otherwise materially change the commercial terms of refunds, we will provide additional notice — for example, by email, an in-product notification, or a banner on the site — where and to the extent required by applicable law, with reasonable advance notice before the change takes effect. Material changes do not apply retroactively to orders already placed.

Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
